I will usually end up with 10+ systems claimed just trying to rush choke points.

also a second construction ship eventually to help secure chokes and build mining stations. I build 3-ish science vessels at first and eventually up to 5-7. I thought that maybe if I tried to maximise alloy production by taking the biggest bonuses I could find (meritocracy and egalitarian) into specialist jobs and boosting happiness as much as possible with charismatic, but that really didn't work.īasically every game with void dwellers I played goes something like this:

The runs where I've neglected tech and gone for charisma trait and stuff have gone very poorly :( Tech seems to be really important because increasing the efficiency of your very limited workforce through passive upgrades and by building special buildings seems to be basically the only way I've found of "growing" your economy.

When I tried to go full on pop growth speed I ran into other problems like despite having more researchers on my home station I still didn't produce tech as quickly as technocracy, and I still failed to put enough workers into alloys to make it seem realistic to acquire another habitat. When I tried to go tech I find that my pops just grow so painfully slowly that getting enough people to work alloys to actually produce anything is nearly impossible. I have tried slaver authoritarian religious, technocracy, and democracy meritocracy fanatic egalitarian.
